1. Set up your account#

Sign in to First100. The first time, a short welcome walks you through what First100 does and asks for your product in one line, then takes you to Connected accounts: connect the social accounts you want to use there first, then choose a plan. Social publishing supports X, LinkedIn, Threads, and Bluesky. Audience research and website analysis do not need a social connection. For outreach, have your own email provider’s SMTP settings ready.

2. Sign-in or an API key: which do I need?#

ChatGPT and Claude use browser sign-in, so you can skip creating a key. For clients that use a key, open API key, generate a key, and copy it while it is shown. Keep it private and replace f100_your_key in the setup examples with your actual key.

You can replace or revoke your key from the same page. Replacing it means updating the clients that use it.

Running several products? Add them from the brand switcher in the dashboard sidebar (Starter: two brands, Pro: five). One key works on all of them: it defaults to the brand it was created on, and every tool takes a brand name, so “schedule this for Beta” goes to Beta. Agents are told to call list_brands first and to ask you which brand to use before they publish anything when you have more than one. Browser sign-in asks which brand to default to when you have more than one.

Keep the profile current: tell your agent when something ships or changes and it logs it (log_update), or add it under Product updates on the brand page. Posts lead with the last 30 days of changes, and once a week First100 re-reads your site and notes new pages, sections and prices for you to confirm.

3. Add First100 to your agent#

For Claude Code, run:

Using claude.ai, Claude Desktop, or ChatGPT? Add https://firsthundred.app/api/mcp as a custom connector and sign in; no key needed. For Codex, Cursor, and other agents, follow client setup.

4. How do I check the connection?#

Use First100 to check my account status and list my connected accounts.

Your agent should return your account and connection details. Check that they match the account and platforms you intend to use; installing a configuration alone does not confirm access. Once those look right, share your product, audience, and goal. See what First100 can do for ideas.
